An unofficial map of SEGD's company members, built from the society's member directory as of . Not affiliated with SEGD.
Each firm is described by the tags it chose in the directory: firm type, practice areas, focus areas and industries. Firms with similar tags are linked and drawn together, forming groups named after their most distinctive tags. Only nearness means anything; there are no axes.
Color is firm type. Size is the number of the firm's people in SEGD. The map places firms by city, and the timeline shows when they joined.
Directory data turned into a similarity graph, designed and built by Lawrence Nieves with help from Claude. Tags are self-reported, so the groups reflect how firms describe themselves.
